And that's key I believe.kallehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16206553670483923549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7362159927796002069.post-22020800232185393372011-06-10T19:58:50.935-07:002011-06-10T19:58:50.935-07:00This, too, shall pass. These periods have been brief with our two, and we were just consistent and got down on their level every time that it happened and talked to them (after they served the immediate time out). We explained that, when we push, hit, etc., we are hurting our friends and we don't want to hurt our friends. I used to ask them if they wanted someone to do that to them, and of course they will say no. Ruby will get it.

Follow-through is huge, and it sounds like you're doing the right things. If she sees an immediate consequence to her actions, she'll start to realize that what she is doing is not okay. You're right, though... parenting is most definitely hard. I'll pray for you about this because I know that it can be frustrating, no matter which side of the coin you're on.Kim Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10065377003219905709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7362159927796002069.post-28927464489072993422011-06-10T19:40:24.547-07:002011-06-10T19:40:24.547-07:00Praying for you Mama, you are doing a great job wi...Praying for you Mama, you are doing a great job with Ruby and she will learn and grow. God is equipping you and molding you to be the mother she needs. Hebrews 12:5-14 is a great passage to read and mediate on and take to heart!
